As the Director of Materials at UT Southwestern Medical Center, I oversee the inventory management, procurement, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment for one of the largest academic medical centers in the US. I lead a team of inventory control managers and analysts, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all aspects of materials management. I have a strong background in operations management, with over six years of experience as an Inventory Control Manager and an Inventory Analyst at UT Southwestern. During this time, I implemented several process improvements, such as lean inventory methods, automated replenishment systems that resulted in significant cost savings, waste reduction, and customer satisfaction. I completed my master’s degree in Supply Chain Management at W. P. Carey School of Business – Arizona State University, to further enhance my skills and knowledge in this field. I am passionate about learning new trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management and applying them to my current role. I am also interested in exploring the opportunities and challenges of digital transformation, sustainability, and innovation in the healthcare industry. My goal is to leverage my education, experience, and competencies to create value and impact for UT Southwestern Medical Center and its stakeholders, and to contribute to its mission of advancing health care through research, education, and patient care. I am a collaborative, adaptable, and results-oriented leader, who strives to deliver excellence and efficiency in materials management.
